CPS 3 Kick harness

Hi...

a question....can i use the CPS 3 Kick harness also for the Sega I/O board...is it the same?

Which I/O are you referring to? Sega I/O versions A,B & 2.0 use a single row connector. The dedicated, non-jamma I/O uses pins and connectors similar to what computer hard drives use. The Capcom I/O already has the CPS3 connector on it:

Hi Joshua..

yes i see that the Capcom I/O Board have so an CPS3 connector...

But i have a Sega I/O Board Rev. B and need a Kick harness to connect with it...but i dont find one.. :smt013 :smt011

If I remember correctly, you can use either a CPS1 or Mortal Kombat kick harness if you can't find the Naomi type.

I found an orginal Sega I/O Board Kick harness and it works fine...

I have one of the Sega I/O boards too.

If I understand this diagram correctly, the single-row14-pin set at the top of the I/O board in the diagram are what I need for the kick buttons?

The pinout on the CPS1 SF2 harness looks similar, but I can't tell if its what I need.

Really I just need the right connector/pins and I could even wire my own harness...

Maybe someone else with more experience on the Sega I/O board can offer their wisdom? I would really like to get my setup up and going. Thanks.
