wiring everything together
wiring everything together
Hi everyone, first time here and was always interested in building an arcade of street fighter. So after doing some research I figured out that I really want to build a custom style cabinet of street fighter zero 3 upper. So I was looking at the guide of what you need to build the naomi part with the psu which didnt seem to be way out of my league of connecting, but I was wondering how difficult it is to wire or connect the kick harness and jamma harness? Also another question is if you guys know any reputable sites to get parts for a machine other than ebay. Thanks a lot guys.

In summary, kick harness and jamma harness connections are all 'standardized'. If you want to put a Naomi inside a JAMMA cab, you will need a JVS JAMMA I/O. Sega has a couple, Capcom has one as well. The capcom one is the best option. The kick harness goes into the I/O, the JAMMA harness as well.

PS. Good places for parts are AGS (http://triplemoonstar.brinkster.net/theshed/default.asp) and Giz10p (http://www.giz10p.co.uk)

Also I think Im going to have to find a cabinet and kind of gut it out or hopefully come across a cheap net city cabinet. The more I looked into building a cabinet from scratch the more complicated it seemed.
Thanks a lot.
yeah, buying a cab and using that is much better than trying to build one from scratch. Were are you located?
In Illinois near Chicago.
I found some good ones on ebay, but the person doesnt want to ship. So driving to Florida might be a little too far for me to go to pick one up. This seems to be a decent price for the cabinet though, since it even comes with a game.

Also this one seems to be pretty decent...

Would love to get one of those net city ones but they seem to be really expensive.
