Sega-Naomi

Are there different gd-rom drives like there are Naomi 1 and Naomi 2 mobo? Is Naomi 2 mobo more prone to breaking compared to Naomi1? Is a Naomi 1 built better than a Naomi 2 mobo? Is it better to have a Naomi 2 instead of Naomi 1 because it's backward compatible? Sorry for all the questions. First time getting a Naomi and want to know what is better to own in the long run.

Both systems are made equally well, so you don't have to worry about them being 'fragile' like some jamma boards. The GD-Rom system is used by both systems and is the same exact unit. If you plan on getting both N1 and N2 games, then the N2 would naturally be a better choice. :smt045
