VF4:FT & 1 of the Initial D games needs 3.03 or something so at least with 3.17 your fully covered for any game on Naomi for life!

I've got a video of the whole process too, dimm upgrade does not even load just the Naomi 2 boot screen & striaght to the upgrade blue screen :smt004

cheapest MP4 camera you can find.. Nisis DV6, actually its not mine, so I can't grumble..
