VF4 evolution music... plays from VF1?

One time, and only one time, I had my Evo machine play a tune from good old VF1. We didnt' know what buttons we pressed, but it was undeniable. Anyone know the codes for this game to get these little easter eggs? Sure, old VF1 music is lame, but cool at the same time, and I wonder how the hell we did that.
