Ringwide questions

Post by OldFoo »

Consider buying one of these in a soon future.

Could any dvd usb player be used?

A guy on ebay sells alot of Lets go Island dvds. But no security chips. Does the Ringwide/edge has this protection or something else? Can't see any chipholder on the pics I have looked at but the pics weren't any good.

Thanks

No, it won't work on certain DVDs as the DVD is 100% encrypted and has a secured sector

The security chips are nothing like Lindbergh, properly done this time so they can't be merely decapped.

The game is worthless without the keychip, but you can only use original DVDs, guy is selling lots of LGI because there was a bug fix that came out not so long after, 16A, so these disks where skipped.

Buy the disk if you want a nice placematt for your cup.

Ok. Thanks for your answer.

By certain dvds you mean that some brands/versions/whatever Will work?

Also heard something about powerissues on these?

I really don't understand why people buy non-playable games. A prototype, yes but not a widely spread game. Stupid!
