Actually, this explains exactly why GDROM drives go for around $160, and DIMMs for around $70.

I got extremely lucky and got my last GD-ROM as part of a large purchase so the price was about $40 for just it (the total package was about $600).



Those are few and far between, and actually I bought that while my original drive was being repaired.

I just think it's interesting that Ken's repair prices are determining the market price for the individual units.
