Post by OldFoo »

HI

i pull off the 2 boards from the sega rally machins cause some problem on theses board on my shopping center , so i removed theses 2boards for test to my enterprise and see where is the boards problem

i am wondering me if

it's possible to test theses boards i have to my indy 500 machins ?

the sega rally is model 2a and indy is model 2b

the connection seems to be the same but different place ...

3 imputs 3 outputs ..1 rgb ( i don't think i need something more for see the screen !!!!?

just for test the board in fact and locate where are the defecting problem not for play or nothing else

perhaps someone already try to do that who knows

thanks for advance

Hello

one grafic problem

the others nothing on the screen

because my machin was far and nmy technical don't know so much about theses boards so i told him to pull off the board and i will try to resolve problem in my enpterprise

but i tryed to connect to my indy 500 and i didn't see nothing on my screen

for that i asked about compatibilities between cabinet indy 500 and sega rally

see you

well the graphics problem could be down to drink spill/bad solder on video board rams/faulty ram

no graphics at all sounds like the cpu board or video board

i would swap them around to prove where the fault lies

you should be able to connect +5 and ground plugs as well as rgb to at least see a screen

Well i discovered something strange and resolve the problem , the POWER SUPPLY ( not the original but the black regulated +5v is doing 5.0v

when you swich off the indy 500 with the sega rally board ..power is 3.8v why ? i don't know but i regulated a bit more and i see the board working ( now 4.2v)and see the game on the screen very very amazing this energy lost power between power supply

seeem to be working with 4.2v but normaly must be 5v then perhaps power supply to change too ...

anyway thanks for all
