Guilty Gear XX and beyond... can this set up run it?

Post by OldFoo »

So, I'm buying my first Naomi GD rom set up. I've owned many Naomis in the past (And currently own an N2), but they've all been cart systems. The GD rom thing throws me for a loop.

But, that's not my question. Can this set up, from what you can see, will it be able to run Guilty Gear, or do I need a different I/O to use all the buttons (five, I believe)?

The system listed will run the game with no problems. You would just need to figure out wiring layout on the I/O.

So that I/O is capable of running the five buttons needed, or is it too hard to tell from the pics?

Like joshua3dg implicitly said: Yes. It can. You will need to sort out/buy the correct wiring loom for connecting the controls to the I/O.

The standard I/O has the same amount if not more of inputs for gameplay. I know that the Jamma I/O has 8 button inputs while I think the standard has the capability of more. It is more than capable of handling the game.

Well, I got this today, and I don't know how to hook it up at all. Lol :(

I'm comparing my Naomi 2 set up to see what plugs into what, but I am putting this in a jamma cab and am lost as to how to hook it up for power. Also, I'll be damned if I know what plugs in from the GD rom drive to the naomi itself. Something, but don't know what. I have every wire known to man included, but I'm sure confused. :( :(

Not sure what to do. Any where that shows how to hook this all up?

If you have a JAMMA cab, you are better off with a JAMMA I/O.. This page explains it all:
