the photo is taken from a nice guy. the platform is not mine ... perhaps :smt009
depnds on how your going to wire it up.
as the original system gun tower housed the jvs IO in the tower with the coin mech and credit board with monitor degas
the usb would go to naomi mother board from the jvs IO
As for CN1 its not used by my system at all all gun games work with out it wired up and occording to andy there is no need for it.

but I have clear photos .. that the Maze in the tower, there a standard VTS .. no usb ....
then I wonder why that cable ... the story gets interesting ...

doh it also houses the vts gunboard as well the gun board dont need usb input the jvs does the
