Runing MAME on NAOMI or Chihiro - Possible????

I saw a version of mame for the Dreamcast (Mamed)

Any way to get this to run on naomi hw?

I am not talking about getting NAOMI CHD's to run on MAME on PC.

I would like to know if possible to run te classics (MS-PAC, etc) on MAME on NAOMI or Chihiro HW

Any thought, ideas, suggestion appreciated.

i talked two two dc homebrew guys, and they could not point me in any direction to even write "hello" world app for the naomi.

For NOAMI I was hoping would be easy. I thought NAOMI HW was pretty much the same as DC. Oh Well.

How about on Chihiro?

im sure the dc homebrew dev stuff can be adapted to naomi, just need to find someone that is super familier with the developement of naomi (such as any naomi emu developers hint hint)..

the chirio would be harder, as just about everything to do with the original "xbox" has died since micky mouse dropped all support for it when they released the xbox360.

without a hacked chihiro bios, it would never happen as the .xbe would need to be signed

besides, NAOMI support would have a much larger user base, than the Chihiro. However, do we have the ability to run unsigned code on the NAOMI? I mean, I suppose you could burn GD-ROMs as in the case of the DC, but what about the security chip?

forums rules do not permit the discussing of that, but yes, there is a way (at least on the naomi 1 or 2)

I agree that running pirated ROM's would be against open discussion on the forum but running MAME or Mamed which is free and open source should be open for discussion I would think?

I own several JAMMA PCB's so I have ownership and the right to use the ROM code. Would just like to run on NAOMI HW instead of JAMMA setup (even though I just purchaed a NAMCO jamma converter for this exact reason)

It's just a pain to swap out the HW

Mod's, thougts on if running MAME on NAOMI is open for discussion.

If not, totally understand.

I think it would be a super cool thread through.
