CFM Gun problem

Post by OldFoo »

Hi,

Some time ago, the guns of my CFM stopped registering, both the detection and the triggers. As already suggested on this forum, the problem might be the gun PCB. I had a look but I don't see anything abnormal.

I think there is power, when I disconnect and reconnect the connector of the screen IR's, I see them lighting up briefly. I reseated all connectors but no change. The rest seems to work.

Does anybody have any suggestions about what to do next?

Thanks

I found this board on Ebay, although the components seem to have another lay out. Does anybody know if this would work as a replacement for my CFM gun board?

Should do, looks like a Lost World type, but providing it works, it should be ok.

i would double check that the gun cables are plugged in inside the guns-they do come out of the plugs quite regular unless you glue them or cable tie them

Thanks! Finally found the problem.

I had a bad connection in the guns, combined with a broken leg in one of the connectors which power the IR's around the screen.
