Jambo Safari Help!

Post by Mulletron »

Ok, so we just got this Jambo Safari Dedicated cabinet in... the stand-up universal with the zebra stripes and everything...

Here's the problem...

Loads, boots, You put in a credit... play...

Only can pick expert. Its as if the steering wheel is stuck to the right.

Ok, Hit Expert... And when you pick a character, it goes allll the way right to the monkey.... fine... hit random...

Start Game... and there is NO problems whatsoever.

It drives like a dream. You just have to play on expert as random.

We replaced the Steering wheel sensor thing *For the life of me I can't think of the name right now... something with a P* and it still produces this issue.

Any idea's guys? Could there be a CP based button thats shorted or something? Could the Direction be so slight as to only effect menu, but not driving?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you tried disconnecting the CP ?

I know with analogue controls (even on a console say DC) if the stick is not centred on boot it won't function properly & will move off on its own.

Check the steering in the test menu.

Center should be around 0x7E - 0x83, fully left should be under 0x2F and fully right should be over 0xB0

Very strange though if you can race correctly..

I'd question if it is using the right kind of pot (should be 5k volume pot).
