unplugging GD Security chips

Is there some special tool Sega made to help you unplug the GDRom security chips? I understand how the plastic clip thing works, but using a flat head screwdriver to press it in while trying to pull it out is such a pain in the ass.

No seriously, you just have to carefully pull them out, it can be kinder awkward though, remember Sega never intended this to be a home console.
