I've got three Naomi 1 bioses I want to reprogram.
All are the crappy old US 21577D used in the us Virtua Tennis Machines. :smt019
I want to make a vertical shooter out of one mf my NAOMI Universal Cabinets.
I think there are only about 5 Vertical Shooters. :smt017
Not sure of titles but I think they are all GDROM. :smt017
(I gutted a broken NAOMI 2 and installed a NOAMI 1 in blue case so I could keep the color coordination between N1(Blue) GD-DRIVE and DIMM)
Is Japanese or Universal Better for vertical shooter?
I've got to update 3 bioses total. I was thinking 1 of each
EPR-21576G - Japan
EPR-21577E - USA
EPR-21578E - Export
Does this make sense?
Are these the 'best' bios version?
Suggestions greatly appriciated.
Thanks
Bob Presutti

For "most" Naomi games, the BIOS denoted language displayed. However some games require a more current bios vs older ones. Here's a link to show you the compatibility list as well as other useful information:

You could drop a line to Starke, a another user on here a line for a multi bios setup.

Almost every vertical shooter on the Naomi is on GD and is Japan bios only so to play them Jap G is the best choice.
For other needs I would suggest matching the bios with the region you live in as Exp and Usa have the same compatibility, the only difference is the ways eg. measurements and speed are displayed (km/h - mph).
Best is of course the dual version.
