Post by OldFoo »

I hope someone can help me. I am using the el cheapo JAMMA I/O playing Capcom Vs SNK I only have 2 punch buttons. Are The other 2 buttons on the kick harness? I am having that made atm.

All four buttons are on the JAMMA edge. If you need more info, take a look at this -->Naomi Universal Wiring Diagram<--.

Isn't there a dipswitch to switch it to jamma mode?

I'm not sure where you got that idea from, but the answer is no. The jamma I/O is already jamma. It doesn't need a switch. Buttons 1-5 are on the jamma edge connector and buttons 6-8 are on the extra inputs connector (more commonly known as the kick harness).

Hmmm,

Harness must be faulty unless there is a setting I'm missing. It is on both sides. Only buttons 1 & 2 work for either player. However when I plug up my Atomiswave and other boards all buttons work. :smt017

Eh...It looked like he flicked a dipswitch :smt017

If you look carefully at the video, that person does not have an I/O connected either. What you see him pressing is the 'Test mode' switch, which would work without the I/O.

Issue resolved :) I hooked up and rewired a new JAMMA harness. All buttons are registering now.
