Help: Error 26 option board malfunctioning

Wow. :smt107 That's the first time I've heard of a chip just being 'bad'.

YEP. I would have sworn that the IC would have worked.



Reseated it and tried it about 3 times.



Took me a couple hours to get the VG setup and running.

(Kind of a pain because VG will not run without the actual VG control panel)



It does look like the sec chip is no good.

Under exact same setup simply switching SEC IC's VG up and running.

I said bad IC chip.. And yes they do go bad.



Sometimes I do not like being right.

Actually Andy I'm glad you were right seems cheaper to replace the game than the dimm and or the dimm and gd rom
