Hey guys ! I just bought a Naomi system with a Capcom I/O. But I have a problem, I have two diagonal lines in the middle of the screen. Thats all. Could it be a power problem-? Anyhelp would be great, thanks !

Hey, what's up!

Lines can be caused by many things. If adjusting the power doesn't help any, then power may not the problem. Sometimes it's interference(or EFI). Get yourself a 'choke', which is basically a device that absorbs/disperses most EFI. It attaches to the outside of a cable and snaps into place. You've most likely seen them on PC monitor cables. Try attaching the choke to different supply power and monitor signal cables and see if this fixes the problem.

The problem could also be from the monitor itself. Does the line problem occur with other games/PCBs other than the Naomi? What type of monitor are you using? Tri-Sync or multi-sync?(dual or triple resolution) Or perhaps a standard 15k RGB type? Is the Naomi connected straight to the monitor, or through the Capcom/Jamma harness? There are many questions because there is insufficient information.

More info, please! Maybe a picture, if you have one. :smt024
