Hey,
Does anyone know of anyone in the UK that can repair the Naomi 2 pins that connect from the game board to the main PCB ? The bottom one is dodgy on a game I have and it has messed up my pins, so it will no longer work. Any ideas on how much it would cost or if it is even possible (All the pins are there, but one is bent down to the plastic and some have came out of the correct positions)
Thanks

Cheaper to get it fixed by Ken in USA.
Send it small packet rate, and he'll charge you not much at all.
He charges the same in $ as people do over here, but because the $ is half the ? it is a lot cheaper.
his e-mail is
kenwesterfield@yahoo.com tell him Andy @ SegaShed sent you, and you'll get an excellent service..

Also, if you have not already planned this, Take the Naomi 2 apart and just send the Mother board to save on shipping

Humm not had a reply from him yet... Need to send game cartridge as well, so will remove the casing from that.
EDIT: anyone know how to get the pins to go to a different direction? I have mainly fixed the problem on the motherboard except for 2 pins, they still stick outwards from where the pin should be in the socket, and pressing them in with screwdrivers and holding them in does not make them stay

anyone know?

Would heating the pins make them go back to the original state?
And does anyone know if you can burn EEPROMs from the files inside zips of MAME files? I got a MK2 PCB delievered today and the shipping has completely smashed up a few parts on the sound PCB (if anyome knows the part numbers of the transistors on the heatsink, let me know) like the U2 EEPROM which is in about 15 pieces. I am guessing the same EEPROM chips for a Naomi could be used so people around here can burn them, quotes anyone?
Thanks

1) Heating metal in general makes them expand and/or become soft, so heating the pins will probably make things worse.
2) If you have the ROM dumps, then you can make duplicates by getting the exact same ROM chip (or direct equivalent) and using a programmer.
And no, the Naomi ROMs are not the same as the type used in MK boards. Someone will have to look at their board and tell you what they are, or you can find them on the internet. I would have thought that the site you downloaded the dumps would have mentioned the type you need. :smt017

Its just the ROM set for mame, guy in US said he will be filing an insurance claim against the post so should be able to get an ST EEPROM off ebay with that, then I will have to find someone that can program it... Gonna take time. And my naomi, can't get the pins to stay! Annoying
