Hello all, Noob arcade question here..... I recently bought a MvC2 machine and it had all the characters unlocked. If I switch game cartridges will I lose them and have to unlock them again?

Thanks for any help/info =D

Switching any game with another will wipe all game settings/stats. Naomi carts do not have backup batteries. This is because the system was never meant to be used like a home console. :smt011

Mobo's are cheap enough now too.

Sorry to steal the thread... but (bare with me, it's somewhat related) if you have mobos for each game, will the settings be the same every time you put it in the cabinet? It might be worth it for some games.

Yes as long as the battery is working.

And with GD-R's? The ram probally clears all settings when you insert an other disc?

Yep, it sure does. The DIMM module has actual PC RAM inside of it. When the system detects a different game, the RAM is wiped clean.
