Naomi Vmu Inputs On a Unversal Cabinet

I am just have just about complete my tear down, clean and reassemble of my 2nd unversal cabinet.
I the process I noticed the both of my US cabinets seem to have been pre-wired for what looks to be VMU inputs.
There are shielded cables running from CN6 and CN7 on the NAOMI main board, they start there and run up up the side of the cabinet with the rest of the loms to the middle plate in the middle of the white monitor bezel. They are tie-wrapped there and left unterminated.
Is there, or was there an option, to put VMU terminal where the middle or side inserts are on the white contol panel bezel...
This part even seems to suggest that a VMU was intended to be there...

The unterminated connectors on both of my cabinets behind the bezel inserts have a five pin connector w/ five wires.
I always wondered why in the world the white bezel had these inserts.
Look like a relatively obvious place to put some VMU input connetors.
Couple of questions.
1) Where get the mating VMU connectors and electornics?
2) Is there a stock part that was made to either replace the center or the two side inserts on the white bezel to provide VMU inputs?
3) Do you guys accross the pond have the same pre-wired connections running from the naomi up to the bezel on you univerasal cabinets?
I am aware of the capcom panel w/VMU inputs but this looks like it woudl be alot cooler place for VMU input.
Looks like this should be relatively straight forward. Would be a cool mod for starke or someone dabbling with this stuff to produce.
Thanks
