Hi all! :smt006

I am new to Naomi and have recently gotten me a beautiful Uni cab.

I want to change the Bios to play a game it doesn't play with the Bios installed, so I got me a Bios that will play this game.

Do I just replace the little thing pictured below or is there more I have to do?

thanks.

Just replace the old chip with the new one, thats it.

Just BE SURE to install with the notch at the top in the same direction as the one you are replacing.

And as with any electronic type things, just make be careful when pulling the old chip and putting the new one in, not to gouge the board or bend any pins and you will be fine.....simple stuff.

ok, so I changed the Bios and everything works ok, but...

My Virtua NBA cart now shows Japanese language (ingame) where before the bios change it was in English.

Any possibility in setting the language back to english?

You'd have to change the bios back. :smt020 That's why I have more than one motherboard. I have one with just a Japan BIOS for those games that need it. :smt020

I see..thanks for the info

For the moment all my games (only 3 so far and one Japanese game on its way) work with the Jap. bios so it's not that big a deal. It's really only the ingame instructions that are in Japanese anyway.
