Hi..

i have a problem with my Taito Type X-2 and KoF Mir....

I have connect the Mobo about Jamma not JVS...all works fine but i dont have the 4 (D) button on the Jamma...The buttons A,B and C works fine but the D button dont work on 1 and 2 Player...I have the Mobo normaly connect with a Sega I/O Board Rev. B and the USB cable...A friend say the Type X-2 can make till 5 buttons on the Jamma but it goes only 3...

I think i need the kickharness for the 4 buttons...but i dont know it sure...

I hope everyone here can help me...

Type X-2 you say? Hmm... I'd really need to be hands-on to figure out the problem for you, I'll PM you with my mailing address... :smt041

Seriously though, yes you probably need a kick harness of some sort. I'm not familiar w/X-2; can you snap off a pic of the IO?

Yes i say Taito Type x-2...

Ok no problem i send you a lot of pics from the stuff...

Oh man...a friend say with JVS it works all very fine...but i must it connect with the Jamma harness...and only the D Button dont work...all the others works excellent....

He sayed it makes maximum 5 Buttons with normaly Jamma but i have only 3....there i think i need a kick harness not only for Street Fighter4,for the other gamez also...but i dont have so an kick harness yet so i cant test it...shit...

The Sega I/O board is not destroyed...when i connect a naomi on it it works fine with 4 buttons...

Yes i also thing its the kick harness for buttons 4-6 and it works only 3 about Jamma....

I buyed it from a friend...he want a Samurai Spirits Sen Set...played it for two month and then he need a Street Fighter 4 Kit...and so he sell this Type X-2 to me. :D

Yes you imagine right its not cheap..the SSS Kit cost around 3000$....and its the newest Version with a Elsa 7900GS graphikcard...

Yes so many hammer gamez like Street Fighter 4,Samurai Spirits Sen,next year KoF 12....i am interresting what for gamez are coming in the future on this PC hardware....

You are correct in that the jamma standard has 3 buttons. However, the JVS standard maps 5 buttons to the jamma edge and button 6 is on the kick harness.

in which cab do you play ? maybe it's just a problem of connection under your panel .I mean if you play in an astro you must have the jamma/jamma+ interface to have the jamma+

I play it in a Super Neo 29 Cab and i think its only the kick harness what i need to play the gamez with all buttons...

IC... your problem can be further simplified because wire JAMMA I/O board is independent of the motherboard you are using. No matter you are using Naomi. system 256 or Taito TypeX2. How to wire button 4 and 5 is only dependent of the I/O baord you are using. Please just take us a photo of your I/O board and I can supply you with the corresponding wiring diagram. the7thchild@hotmail.com[/img]
