Only having the main site, the differences between the Naomi Uni/Net City are described as 'Net Support'. What exactly does this consist of, and what differences lie between these three cabs anyway? Besides the artwork of course!

Not much really.

Some Net City cabs where fitted with the MS29-31A Tri-sync monitor (before Eizo closed shop).

The first rev of New Net City cabs where fitted with the Tosh Tri-sync PF monitor.

Net was available as stand-up and sit-down.

The network is handled by the game inside, not the cab, using JVS I/O Boards on each machine to control player 1/2, although not many games support it.

SEGA.NET is a Japan only thing where scores etc where uploaded to a Japan server, I think first game to-do this was VF4 Evo.

Do they have any interfacing on the back panels, such as network ports etc, or are they just routed through the small removable panel?

No, you simply removed the communication lid and passed the wires out there..
