Hello,
I'm looking at buying Gunspike and Crazy Taxi (if i'm lucky) in the future. Are those games fully playable with a standard panel setup or do they require a dedicated panel?
Is there a compatibility list of games available somewhere?
Thanks!

Crazy Taxi uses a steering wheel and does not work with a standard panel. Gunspike should be fine.

thanks and too bad. And there's no way of changing this in the game's service menu?

Sorry, no. You can use a non-feedback (passive) wheel from ebay or
www.happcontrols.com, but most driving games use analog controls. Joysticks are digital and use a different port on the I/O. Even if you managed to tie the joystick controls to the analog (technically possible), the game would be unplayable as the game will interpret any joystick input as abruptly turning the wheel all the way to one side in an instant. :smt018

Thanks for the info. Glad i asked before spending a lot of cash on the game first. I heard it's pretty rare as well.

- Dead or Alive 2 (fantastic 3d fighter)
- Heavy Metal Geomatrix (awesome action, the 3d arenas remind me abit of powerstone)
- WWF Ryal Rumble (not that great of a game imo)
- Powerstone (one of the best games period)
These all use 3 buttons which most CPs are equipped with and don't require a kick harness. Imo the best are DOA2, HMG, and Powerstone, you can't go wrong with any of those 3.
