Sega-Naomi

I have a MvC2 cab w/ Naomi1 that has a screen getting kind of fuzzy. I'm not able to get it to focus completely anymore and I'm thinking about replacing the screen.



I'm trying to see if I can use a 20" LCD monitor, but I can only get it to display w/ all dipswitches off (which I believe is 31KHz std-res). It looks quite pixelated, so I'd prefer to be able to output in high-res mode.



Is this only possible w/ a display that supports 15k, or is there some way for me to output in high-res 31k so my monitor can work properly?

oh, and I'm quite new at this so please try to forgive my ignorance.

Believe it or not, all switches off on the Naomi is high-res mode (640x480). The reason why it's pixelated is because the image is being interpolated (stretched) to accomodate the higher resolution. It would have worked better if the programmers included high-res artwork to make this mode look better, but they didn't. If you turn switch 1 'off' then you will get low-res (standard res), but it won't work with most monitors and you will get either a blank screen or a 'out of range' type of error.



There are LCD screens that can display standard arcade resolution, but they are quite expensive as shown here--->Arcade LCD monitors.
