pumping 240 into it wont have done all that much damage, most likely just wiped out the PSU section..

I've repaired countless chassis that have been run at the wrong voltage without much trouble..

im hopeing its just the filter cap in the psu section as this is well gone

as there seems to be no schematics for this chassis ill just have to sitdown with it

this is only the second monitor ive tackled since going for inhouse repairs before sending out SMPS and simple PCB repiars to date

so an odd mistake will happen as long as we learn from it!

I doubt there will be anything wrong with the filtercap.

Update

Post by OldFoo »

for the wrong voltage input only damage seems to have been

C806 200v 680uf capacitor and R807 470k ohm resistor

only other faulty parts were

C441 250v 1uf capacitor and C424 50v 1uf capacitor

fitted the chassis into a dance stage i found with the pm1745 unit in and all works fine still after 2 days

checked C441 on the chassis now out of the dance stage and thats shot too
