Naomi chop-down question

Hello,

I'm accumulating info on chopping down my uni and transforming it into a NC or NNC in the future.

I've found a lot of useful info on this forum which gave me the confidence to go ahead. I already dismantled the uni before so i'm not too worried about that.

On most European uni's there's the coin chute and a plastic strip attached to the top corner of the base.

(See picture below.)

On all chopdowns i've seen this strip isn't present.

Ok, Should i remove the strip when chopping or leave it as it is?

Also, Will the coin chute be completely removed and chop it just as much as the coin chute's length? So that the underside of the panel is touching the base. (In this case i think the plastic strip must be removed).

I imagine that when you leave the strip as it is you will have a small gap between underside panel and base. Any info on this is welcome.

Cheers, Henk.

that is the kick strip, before Naomi's used to get badly scuffed on there from feet.

You can keep it on or remove it, either way you won't notice it unless you bend down and look for it.

Personally I'd remove it if the paint work underneath is good, otherwise leave it.

Thanks, Andy. The paint underneath the strip looks good after i've cleaned it. The only thing you would see is the empty holes from the screws when leaving the strip off. But you probably won't see it anyway when it's chopped right. :)

Does the coin still end up in the cashbox after chopping it? Not very important but it would be nice if everything's still working after chopping it.

Yes the coin will still drop in the cash box, the control panel lower has the hole lined up ready to drop into the base.

The control panel lower should sit directly on the base..
