Running Naomi open(without top cover) in cabinet?

Hey all!

I have removed my very noisy Naomi system fan, and since I

have very good cooling in my cab, why not run the Naomi

open instead of installing a new fan?

What do you think?

Thanks!

Nicholas

My guess: If they put a fan there, there must be a reason!

Agreed...to suck hot air out of the case...but if the case is open

and the arcade cabinet is ventilated then that becomes the

case...no?

if you had the naomi decased then i would say its fine but if you are still using the case then the build up of heat will be too much

why not just install a quieter fan

Papst 612 F/2 is a direct replacement, it also works in the GD-ROM unit. If you're in replacement mode, Papst 8412 NGMLE fits nicely in the sun PSU.
