Hey guys im new here and could use a little advice, thanks!!

Hey everyone, i have a sega naomi system here that seems to be giving me some trouble. I have a mvc2 cart here and with or with out the cart in the naomi system, i am getting error 01 , game is not acceptable by main board. Some help here would really be great, thanks and look forward to participating here!!!

There's a possibility that it's the cart. After the Naomi gives the error message, press the service button to enter the system setup. You should be able to run the hardware tests to see if the Naomi is in working condition (at least on the board level). If you have another game to test, it would confirm if it's the game. If all tests pass, then you should check all of the connector pins on both the system and the cart.

Thanks for the info, I went and tested the first part, the ram and everything came back good. I also ran a rom test and all i got was a numerical list and it would check them two at a time, random numbers and letters would come up on the right side, except for like the last 5 or 6 rows, were the numbers were all zeros on the right side. I though i could add file as i took a picture but don't know how. Anyway hope this helps you help me, thanks

That cart is a finicky bastard...

Try setting your voltage to 5.0 at the NAOMI's power connector. If that's not it, set it to 5.15. I've seen carts that were finicky both ways.

Where did you buy the cart?? There is about 3 or 4 broken ones that keep popping up on eBay..

Some aren't even MVC2, just a random cart with MVC2 casing.. :smt014

I will def check the voltages tomorrow. I didnt get it online, it was a pull from a game i had that was a parts game. Should i get that error with or without a cart in the system:?
