naomi universal kabinet with MAME - monitor problem

I am using a naomi universal kabinet to convert it to a Mame kabinet.

The naomi kabinet is already jamma wired and with a J-pac I can connect it to my computers PS/2 keyboard port. The correct front end and game software is coming...

The naomi monitor is a VGA monitor at 31kHz, so I should be able to connect it to the VGA port of the computer without any problem. When I boot the computer I have a nice screen saying windows is starting... a computer boots in 640x480 resolution. As soon as XP is started, the screen gets scrambled... XP runs in lowest 800x600 resolution. At least, that is the lowest I can set in the configuration settings.

Anyone has any suggestions to have my XP output nicely showing on my naomi monitor ??

Regards,

Lieven

FAQ really, display->settings->advances->adapter->list all modes

I've done display->settings->advances->adapter->list all modes and changed the resolution to 640x480. When I restart the computer XP boots with 800x600. What should i do?

there is an option in XP that says something like "dont change my resolution without notifying me" and check that i think its around the driver properties

if you are still having issues with this in the morning then I will post a more in-death guide to setting this,

FYI I am not a mame expert nor am i a Naomi expert however I am a MCSEx2 ,CCNA ,MCT ,MCSAx2

so I know what problems you are having and should be able to help

The issue has been resolved with the earlier remark.

Thanks anyway.
