PLEASE HELP ME!!! New Naomi!!!

Ok so here's the deal and the issue. I have a new naomi board with gdrom, and sega i/o board v.b. It is connected in a blast city cab, via the jamma adapter that goes from the sega io to the blast city i/o board inside a stock blast city. So I wanted a JVS Board because I thought I could just take the giant plugset of wires from inside my blast and plug it into that and have all my buttons work. Some on here told me no I need an I/o board like the sega v.b. So I get a board with that an order a kick harness for it from dj. When I hook up the jamma harness to the naomi, everything works including buttons 1-5 in test mode. Problem is with the harness, cant get button six to work and if I touch the grnd to the pin for button six or any button as a matter or fact, I get no responce from the naomi. I did once get it to reboot but I'm not sure if it just timed out or I accedently hit a button. I orginally thought dj's harness was wired wrong but soon as I wrote him about it I realized it was correct and there didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. Here is a pic of the harness attached to the io board.

This is a pic of what my board looks like inside the blast (ignore the arrow)

(not my pic)

See that big section of wires right in the middle, why does it look like that could plug right into this:

billd420 told me it would not but I want a second opinion as now it seems I cant get a button 6 working. Can anyone help me???

Do I need to do something special with the grounding wires here as my jamma harness is grounded correctly and works with all my other buttons?

not familiar with that cab but did you try replacing the microswitch on the 6th button? they are cheap to replace and hopefully that is the problem. again though i want to point out that i'm not familiar with the cab so i could be wrong but it's worth a shot

Button works fine, it doesn't even work if I touch the ground and buttons wire together. Is the Naomi board supposed to have it's own ground?

Do I need to do anything special to ground the jamma i/o if I dont have anything pluged into it besides the jamma harness?

I thought I remembered reading on Segashed or something that the wiring was different between UK and JP for the kick harness??? that might be possible... not sure beyond that, sorry.
