I am referring to this entry in that list:
EPR - 21576G or After
Which means that your version, 21578D, is later/newer than 21576G.
So it supports GDROM and Cabinet linking, I would think?

Nope it support ONLY cart game.
21578 is Export bios
21576 is Japanese bios
and both up to D revision allow ONLY cart game.
Revision E add Gd-Rom support, revision above E add cabinet linking
