Sega-Naomi

i have the following chassis in my net city: toshiba R-1781 with toshiba tube...but i cant enter the extended menu, does somebody here know how i can do this?

i already contacted sega europa and toshiba europe, but both cant help me..... very strange, cause this chassis was (andy geezer told me) in japanese net citys from 2004-2005......

sega can't help because they know nothing

i would try holding down the menu button for 10 secs

i tried every possible combination, but without luck.....

now i have plugged a 10k poti between menu (function) and ground....

when i adjust 5k on the poti and press the button, i get the geometry setup onscreen, 0 ohm i get the menu where i can change the colors and when i adjust the poti to 3 k i can change the hsync....

its not a optimal solution, but now i can correct the picture...

i?m sure there must be a button combination to enter the extended menu....

isn t there a little press button on the big board it self maybe? and just to make sure is the controller board the original one?

if this would be so easy, believe me, i would found it

i think there must be a special service control pcb to edit this settings....

the chassis is super rare, i think that must be the reason why nobody has infos about it...

I tried google and live search for this chassis. Two things I found:



The toshiba site provides an email address to which inquiries can be sent for their CRT products:



"For CRT products, please contact with MATSUSHITA TOSHIBA PICTURE DISPLAY CO., LTD at the following mail address: mtpd@sel.mec.mei.co.jp"



And 'startechjournals' has info about this chassis in a repair guide (cost 59 dollars, though..). They classify this chassis as being part of the Initial D3 cabinets:

thanks for the info, i?ll try the mail adress for toshiba..

i already contacted startechjournal last weekend, but 59 usd for some infos is too much for me, and startechjournal wont give any infos for free.

what is it you are trying to do once you get access to this menu? Perhaps someone can suggest if it's possible through another means?
