Hey guys i have posted this is a couple of threads but i finally got some pics and a vid. Anyways my speakers all sound popped, even when i swap out the speakers they still sound the same way. The front two speakers in the cab are VERY low in volume and when u put your ear to them they also sound popped / crackly. The subwoofer goes loud enough but is doing the popping/crackling sound as well. Now when i got the cabinet the guy said the sound was working fine a day before and when i got to checking the amplifier's LED was not lighting up. I saw the two fuses on its bored and just to test if that was a problem use a wire to connect both sides of the fuse, the board lit up and im getting the sound like you hear in the video. I have another amp coming but was trying to figure out if there was another problem before it got here. Thanks

the speakers are most likely fine, those low-pass amp's blow, and cause weird popping/blowing noises from the woofer.

Ok cool, sorry for making so many threads but im trying to knock this out of the way before i leave for vacation (just give me that peace of mind ) Im trying to order the board but both guys wont get back to me, i was going to buy two... one for backup, how often do these things go out?

Not often enough to be a problem. I think that if the setup is kept clean, this sort of thing wouldn't happen with much frequency. Dirt is one of the major enemies of electronics aside from liquids and heat. Depending on what is being deposited from it's surroundings, dirt causes air circulation problems, short circuits, unnecessary heat buildup, corrosion and loss of efficiency in general.



Buying new parts is a step in the right direction, but I suggest you clean out the cab to prevent future unnecessary failures. :smt023

I agree with Andy.. I watched your video a couple of times; Sure sounds like a blown amp.. The amp seems to be 'clipping' all the time. Be very careful with turning the volume up. It is quite bad for speakers when amps are clipping this badly.. The speaker you have on the floor in the video is moving quite violently. A bad aspect in clipping is that there is little to no control over the frequency output from the amp; speakers get destroyed easily in this manner..



Just trying out a new amp seems the best way to go, imo..

O man that vid/pics was after a couple hours of hardcore cleaning you would have really flipped if you saw it before. Just for a idea, when i lifted the seat back old coke started running down the seat and i didnt see the board with all the electronics becuase it was under abuot 2in of dust. I had to get a shock vac to even be able to see much of anything. Anyways yeah im still cleaning alot, repainting, getting new parts. Yeah that speaker in the pic was one i had laying around in my garage. When i took the original sub out the rubber speaker part stuck to its casing and ripped most of the rubber off the speaker. Just looks like a tweeter sitting in the middle with nothing around it.

Yeah i know, this thing had to cost a crapload a while back, i cant understand why somebody would pay that much and not take care of it. The pedals could barely move with all the dirt in them... Anyways stay tuned for pics probably tommorow night i think. Should make yall proud.

I got the new sound amp installed and its still doing the EXACT same thing, whats next to check guys?

I just looked in the rear at the top speakers and the right was unplugged, i plug it up and it plays loud and clear while the left is still low sounding. Was it made to do this or is there still something wrong cause it sounds pretty good right now.
