Okay whilst this game is very cool, and a lot of fun, its slowwwwwww compared to the pace of FZero etc, I did read somewhere that there was a kit to convert this to Strike Fighter? does it need a new CP or just the cart? is the game any fun, faster paced than AP? worth getting? any thoughts, help would be good

Airline Pilots is a simulator, so it runs as it would in real life. Simulators tend to have a higher level of difficulty and are made to give players 'a taste of the real thing'. Strike Fighter and FZero are action games and are meant to be more fast paced and easier to learn.

Yeah I know AP is a sim, and its neat, just after a while crave some speed, and if I can use the cabinet for more than 1 title then its floor space is much more useful

Slap in a Lindbergh, and run Afterburner Climax. Now that's fast :-)

True, true.. Another idea (I am currently pursuing): use the cab for MAME, and play titles like Afterburner, Thunderblade, etc.

I know, original is always nicer, but MAME offers a cheap alternative to have some additional fun with your cab. I am currently installing a PC in my Afterburner Climax cab, just for the fun of it.

could the JVSPAC but used for such an application thru the controls or not, maybe the guy that designed it can chime in? that would be cool and still retail the original setup

That would be cool indeed. But I am afraid that the JVSPAC does not support analog controls..

We could ask the guy developing the JVSPAC if he has any thoughts on supporting this in future versions..

I will be going the 'classic' route, and will use a U-HID to get the analog stick to work.

cool, keep me posted as certainly interested, I guess another harness would be needed to keep the original intact
