Neo Geo MVS Woody cabinet issue?

I have a Neo Geo MVS Woody that I just got. I saw it turned on and tested and the cross hatch screen came on. Then when I got it home when I hook it up the monitor is just black. What could be the problem? I know there is power because there is a buzzing sound in the back and there is also a small red light that indicates there is power. And there is no sound when I put carts in the two slot. Any opinions? I'd appreciate it! :smt006

Welcome to Sega-Naomi.com
You could first check if you really have power at the JAMMA harness using a multimeter. Then go from there.. A buzzing sound may also mean 'failure'

OK Thanks. If there is no power then how is it alleviated? Do I have a fixable problem? I mean it was literally working when I initially tested it before bringing it home. Oh, and I was going to edit my original post and was gonna say that when I connect another board to it, the same problem occurs (no screen and no sound)

Nearly everything is fixable. Sounds like power supply issues/wiring.. Check if there is power at the harness (and what power: nothing, too little, too high, etc). If not, check if there is power at the output of the power supply. Also check if the power supply gets power itself

I'm trying to get a forum member from another forum to come check it out as I am not really good at technical stuff although from what I've gathered it does seem like a power issue.
