I'm trying to help a friend that has a broken scud race cab... he got it from an old operator and does not know much about the hardware...
i saw a vga connector on the pcb, does the model 3 pcb outputs video signal through this connector?
regards
arnaud
ps: any model 3 info pages would be gladly appreciated
many thanks

Any model 3 questions should be directed to me.. I am the Guru.
Yes the VGA connector is used, but it still outputs 25K (Med Res) via this connector, just at VGA ttl levels.

glad to see you can help m8!! thanks!!!
the VGA connector had nothing connected to it in his cab...
do you have the pinout for this type of card? model 3 step 1.5
what do i need to do with the sync? are they splitted? ( H + V or combined? )
is there anything we need to know about the model 3?
many thanks

Well there is 2 ways to get an RGB signal, via the 5 pin JST connector
1 = Red
2 = Green
3 = Blue
4 = C/Sync
5 = GND
Or via the VGA connector
To power up a Model 3 PCB, you need to supply +3.3V/+5V/GND to the 24pin JST connector and also +5V/Gnd to the 10pin JST connector
24pin JST connector
pins 1-8: +3,3V
pins 9-18: Ground
pins 19-24: +5V
10pin JST connector
pins 1-5: +5V
pins 6-10: GND
