Sega-Naomi

just got my first naomi 2 plugged it works.



took game cart out of mobo put dimm boots.



turned it off came back this afternoon turned it on got a chequr board pattern with error 22 comunications error tuned it off black screen when turned back on then turned it off took out dimm turned on nothing sevral more time off and on then get it too boot to splash screen put dimm back in then wont boot got pissed nuged the board with my foot naomi 2 splash screen came up with chequre patten rebooted worked played a game then next time i booted same issues as before.



any ideas or is it one for spares draw.?

any help?



have orderd another one so if fixable would be good as can sell on or keep as a spare.

the error is with GD-ROM? or cart?

its a mother board error sounds like one of the chips has a lose connection on it will play with it some more have tryed changing filter board to no joy and have also swaped bios. apparently there is some times a issue after shipping them as knocks somthing out will have a look into it later on as got about 10 projects on atm so time is limited.

should be a problem with the drive gd

not using gd rom with this board. cart works on mates mobo so i know its mobo issue oh well 100 down the tube spares though so its ok...

You checked your voltages?.

dont think it would be voltages as have naomi 1 triforce and namco all working fin on my jvs system.



should have new board today.

Sounds like the graphics processor has popped loose and needs to be reflowed.

new board works fine so defently not votlatges.
