Hello everyone. I have 2 Capcom I/O's one USA one and one Japan one. They both work. However for my Japanese one it works when I play carts but if I try and load any GD-rom games with it , it doesn't work. I mean it doesn't even boot up the Naomi welcome screen. But the USA one works fine for Carts and GD-roms. My question is , is this thing finished? Or is there something I can do to try and get it to work with GD-rom?

How did you connect the power? As you might have read, you cannot power the Naomi + GDROM from the Capcom I/O.
Pls Help

I know I hooked the power up right. My AWSD cab has the 3.3V for the GD-rom. And I use the power line from the Capcom I/O. But I found out I think something interested with each Capcom I/O. I found out the USA version doesn't read the input from the Kick harness (tested with MVC2) and The Japanese version does read from the kick harness (tested with MVC2) but I can't get a GD-rom to start with the Japanese one but I can with the USA one. So the way I have 2 Capcom I/O's now I'm good for most games with swapping them out (which I really don't want to do, they should both read from the kick harness and both work with GD-rom) however for any GD-rom game that requires more then 3 buttons I can't play with the current problems with the Capcom I/O's. :smt017

Try bypassing the Capcom I/O by directly connecting everything to an external PSU.
About the kick harness: Inside the Capcom I/O, behind the JAMMA connector, there are three switches. Look inside with the JAMMA connection facing you: two two-way switches (left and right), and one test switch in the middle (small momentary switch). What is the position of the right switch? I believe it should be set to the right position to enable the kick harness function for extra buttons..
