Hi everybody,
A couple days ago I finally took the time to swap the chassis of one of my Sanwa 29E31S-B monitor with a Weiya 3129A. After some troubles identifying ACN and ACL on the AC unit I managed to wire everything the way it should be (I guess).
Notice that I also used the male VGA cable supplied with the chassis and not the kind of adapter with naked wires on the other hand. The reason I used this wire is because it provides a ground cable to plug on the neckboard, and the little adapter does not. And as this cable has a male VGA connector, I also used a genre changer in order to plug it to the VGA cable in my Naomi Universal Cabinet.
The chassis is now working but the screen looks darker than usual. It also makes noise, as if a balloon was leaking gas. And on top of that there are some parasites on the image, it looks like an old VHS tape that was watched way too much.
You can have a look at the situation here :

Does anyone have a clue on some tweaking to be made to make it work properly ? Or does the chassis simply not work with my monitor ? I always read everywere that weiya C3129-A chassis were compatible with Sanwa 29E31 monitors...
Thanks,
Fabien
Noisy Weiya chassis on Sanwa monitor
Thanks for the hints
I guess FBT stands for Flyback Transformer (thanks acronymfinder
)
I'll take a look this way. Are there any known solder spots in the FBT zone that may require more attention ?

I would just check them all

For more info/knowledge on these types of monitor issues, contact ordyne on this forum, and/or grantspain. PM is probably faster than waiting for them to come along
