Cleaning Monitors

I have a question about how to clean monitors.

I have seen some people actually discharge the monitor make sure the Anode seal is good and then wash them. Usually letting them dry out for about a week until starting them back up.

I have a couple of MS8 and MS9 monitors that are in cabinets and are filthy. Before I risk it and try this method I was wondering what anyone else does.

Do some people just use a ton of contact cleaner?

Any suggestions?

High power air line and a soft paint brush

Yep. About the paint brush: NO nylon, etc. Only natural hairs.
