Rev A, Rev B, what's the difference????

Version A is the JVS 1 found in Naomi cabs, Version B is the Jamma 1.

Nope,



Both JAMMA I/O's, one marked Rev A on the PCB and EPROM, and the other marked Rev B.



Any Ideas??

interesting thing...



maybe the rev.a is the sega io who has problem with gg xx, etc...

I've just noticed 2 physical differences after looking at the pictures I posted.



The Rev A board has AUTO-10 printed on it (just below the EPROM)



The 2nd difference is JP1 (next to the Cap - Again under the EPROM)

On Rev A, the jumper is set to A, and on Rev B, it's set to B.

The revision B has been updated to automatically detect whether the power is being supplied by the jamma edge or the JST connector. I think you had to plan and choose with rev. A or you might blow something. I think there are a couple of fixes as well. I think one of the fixes has to do with how coins were registered.
