Intial d to Outrun 2 conversion

HI. I'm thinking of converting my id3 twin to outrun 2. So far i have worked out i need : 2 gd rom disks and 2 chihiro boards. Just wondering if there's anything else i need. Also is the link up the same, So i can play 2 player versus mode. Thanks Matt
