Converting a 18 Wheeler machine to racing naomi?

I have acquired a 18 Wheeler cabinet... the idea of driving Initial D, OutRun2 or Crazy Taxi on a lorry wheel isnt the most appealing.
Is it a matter of just swapping the wheel itself or do I need a complete top panel???
Has anyone do a 18 Wheeler conversion?? Anyone know from experiance???

hello,
you have to change the JVS, one under the console
Then, you must replace the wheel with his trimmer (18w Have 360 degrees)
Then, there's a pin in less on shifting.
is not an impossible job, but not plug and play
. Good Cab !!!!

could you show us what 'JVS' I have to change and what do I change it for.
So what parts from the CT wheel would I need?
pin in less???
if you could take some photos on your setup would be helpful.

18 wheeler wheel ?

Hello
I put a Daytona USA steering wheel in my 18 wheeler and it took forever.
Nothing matches shaft sizes for the wheel are not the same.
18 wheeler has a larger caliber gear than the racing wheels center hole.
And fat chance getting the old apart mine looks as though it was welded together by a real champion. With weld bead going around top and bottom of both levels.
So I just put the whole thing in from Daytona, force feedback motors and all, drilled new holes placed in new bolts.
adjusted volumes and it worked "Green Horn"
Good luck
