Just wondered whether Naomi carts should save scores if they are not removed from the cabinet/motherboard?

I have a ZG2 cart and it resets the scores everytime I switch the cabinet on. When I had my S-TV rigged up it would save the scores as long as you didn't enter the service menu or remove the cart.
