OR2 SP PROBS

OR2 SP TWIN conversions from initial d

cf versions,

game boots up , choose car,music course etc

freezes on standby mode for race, before main game

tried as singles same prob

any ideas????

Try the PCB in a working OR2 cab...

TREID IN SINGLE AND TWIN MODE

tried different motherboards

changed cf card and cf unit

changed scsi cables

changed i/o pcb

tried in upright mode

game loads choose course etc then freeze

I know this is a trivial question, but have you checked the PSU for correct power output?

I mean try the mainboards if a proper Outrun 2 cab.

Chances are you are using original ID wiring, which has a white loop cable that stops other games from running correctly (a weird security method to stop conversions).

It's a white loop cable on the 60pin JST RA connector (I know it stops games like Jambo from working).

worked ok in workhop

odd game or 2 works

Pete cab is fine, no wiring probs on that, it's been to the r3play show and worked flawless.

Yeah cab worked fine over a weekend at the R3PLAY show & worked fine when picked up on the 27th of December 2010, quite a long time from then to the start of this thread to say anything.

As for cutting the loop, surely you know how to remove JST pins ?
