As some of u may know I am trying to consolize my naomi, well sort of. Yesterday i had made the power cables and the usb cable to fit inseide the case along with the I/O. I did a trial run and I get a good boot with mvc2. I dont have any pyhsical controls hooked up just the I/O. So today I go to wire in the controls and now I am getting an I/O not present error on boot. Im following this http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153310 to get ideas from. Now in this pic http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/6944/h3qu8.jpgit shows that he has 5v connected to 2 and 3 and ground connected to 12 and 13. On this page it shows to connect 5v to 1 and 2 and ground to 13 and 14 wich is what I did.http://solvalou.mine.nu/beginner/naomi.html#sega_io
This is driving me crazy tonight and I think I shorted out my naomi on accident checking voltages. :smt013
SEGA I/O Problems
Hi,
From the piccy here
http://solvalou.mine.nu/beginner/naomi.html#sega_io
you need to be looking at the 6-pin header, and using this to power the I/O.
Pin 1 & 2 = +5v
Pin 3 & 4 = +12v
Pin 5 & 6 = GND
