Did you erase the EPROM beforehand?

+ the Willem EPROM programmer has a LOT of settings you can configure (dips, etc)..

Hi

I've also got that burner & adaptor and have never sucessfully been able to burn any 16bit EPROM's with it, problems with power regulation while writing the chip, you will defo need the external power supply, lots of pages on the net of people failing to write these chips on that device.

I gave up in the end and brought a wellon VP-280 for this task.

Same result, no success :(

I tried with an external 12V PSU as this IC required 12v stated by this manual:

Did you try to change TWP & TWC : try with

280 us

40 us

Did you try another 27C160 ( I Mean from another brand ) .

I had the same buffer problem with 29F032 serie ... If it comes from AMD , I still have buffer error , but if it comes from ST I'ain't got no problem ...
