Help with virtua striker 2 v98 pcb

Post by OldFoo »

Hi sorry for my bad english, but i buy recently a vs2 v98 arcade. The mainboard does not have the vga connector that i saw in others sega model 3 pcb. My question is... can i put a vga female connector to the pcb? and connect it to my optoma hd20 projector with vga cable? the manual of the projector says the vga connector is multifrequency. Can it work?

Thanks.

Through the use of a wiring conversion yes, but your projector has to support 24Khz or it won't work.

Thanks NaokiS for the answer. According to the manual of the projector, it says: "Horizontal scanning frequency 15.3 to 91.1 KHz, Frequency vertical refresh 24-85 Hz" should work. How is the wiring conversion? then i can't solder a female vga connector to the motherboard, right?

Having never seen a model 3's wiring I have no clue. You'd most likely need certain grade cable and some sheilding for best results.

Hi, here is my photos of my arcade, the last one is the motherboard and if zoom in you can see the vga slots without the female vga connector.

I wouldn't know if those VGA connectors even if attached would work, the traces most likely will be missing componants. Hunt down the wire that goes from your monitor to the M3 and show the cable.
